'Til Tiden' – Art and Recycling in Focus at Gjethuset
Gjethuset's Gallery is opening an inspiring exhibition in which art and recycling merge into a captivating narrative of creativity and sustainability. Join the opening on January 19th to experience the works of textile designer Ellis Hinz-Berg and visual artist Lone Villaume, which focus on environmental awareness and challenge the modern "use and throw away" culture.
From Waste to Art
In the exhibition Til Tiden, discarded items such as packaging, bicycle tubes, textile scraps, and plastic are transformed into unique sculptures, paintings, and objects. These recycled materials are surprising with their humorous, aesthetic, and colourful expressions, encouraging visitors to view waste as a resource.
A Story of Collaboration and Global Inspiration
Ellis Hinz-Berg and Lone Villaume have collaborated for years on international projects and have exhibited their art across the Nordic countries and the world. From Rundetaarn to Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Saint Petersburg, their works have sparked debate and fascination, emphasizing recycling as an artistic force.
Their previous projects, such as the acclaimed Tid Til exhibition at Rundetaarn, have been known for combining storytelling with sustainable craftsmanship. Til Tiden continues this tradition, offering a fresh perspective on how we perceive materials and consumption.
