Easter at Esrum Abbey | A Sensory Walk Among the Trees
Embark on a unique walk among the trees at Esrum Monastery & Møllegård. ‘Walking Among Trees’ blends nature, art, and poetry, offering both children and adults a sensory journey through the secrets of the forest.
A Sensory Journey Through the Forest
This poetic Easter walk invites participants to explore the trees through artistic and creative activities. With six stops along the route, the senses are awakened to the scents, shapes, and textures of the forest.
Creative Stops Along the Way
At each tree, a special activity awaits:
- Make bark imprints from the grooved trunk of the maple tree
- Paint with ink extracted from the gnarled branches of the oak tree
- Create floral prints using early spring blooms
Poetry and Nature in Harmony
Along the way, passages written by cultural geographer Emmy Laura Perez Fjalland are read aloud, bringing words to the essence of trees and their connection to humans.
Practical Information
The walk is suitable for both children and adults and takes approximately 1.5 hours. Tickets can be purchased online.
