The first children’s hiking trail in Denmark opens in Halsnæs. The Industrial Museum Frederiks Værk invites visitors to an exciting and educational treasure hunt, where they can find hidden medals and uncover historical symbols.

A Treasure Hunt with a Historical Twist

Adventurous children and adults can explore the 5 km trail at Arrenæs in Frederiksværk with a treasure map. The map reveals five hidden medals, which children can scratch off to reveal symbolic clues from the area’s history.

A Route for All

The child-friendly hiking route is accessible all year round and is easy to navigate with strollers and wheelchairs. The green trail follows scenic paths in nature, making it a perfect activity for the whole family.

A Free Activity All Year Round

The treasure map can be picked up for free at the Arsenal in Frederiksværk during the museum’s opening hours. It is also possible to download and print the map at home outside of opening hours via the Industrial Museum’s website. Remember to bring a pencil to scratch off the medals and reveal the historical clues.
