Nivå Harbour and Strandpark is a scenic, idyllic and family-friendly area. At the harbour, you’ll find a number of restaurants and eateries, as well as barbecue areas near the quay. The beach is very child-friendly with shallow water and inviting sand. There are lifeguards during the school holidays and a swim platform for people with disabilities.
In windy weather, the water is often filled with talented kite surfers, a sport for which the shallow water is particularly suitable.
Next to the beach is a fascinating bird sanctuary. The shallow Nivå Bay and the narrow coastal meadows are the only areas on the Danish Øresund Coast where wading birds can rest and forage. More than 200 different bird species have been observed here.
Nivaagaard Brickyards Ring Oven is the world’s oldest ring oven still in existence. It tells the story of industry in the Denmark and Europe of the nineteenth century.
A close neighbour of the Ring Oven is the Nivaagaard Collection, a little gem with an exquisite collection of 500 years of European masterpieces and temporary art and design exhibitions.
