Architecture Connection at Louisiana Museum - Science as the Foundation of Architecture

Science and architecture go hand in hand as a series of studios invite you to explore their visions for sustainable solutions in the future of construction. Immerse yourself in the beauty of Earth's biodiversity as Louisiana Museum of Modern Art invites you to experience this captivating exhibition.

Now is the time for innovative thinking, so explore the future of architecture with an eye on Earth's biodiversity.

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art presents a new exhibition series, "Architecture Connecting," exploring the deep ties between architecture, science, and research in fields such as biology, neuroscience, and anthropology.

In light of the global climate and biodiversity crisis, architects and the construction industry are challenged to rethink their practices. This series sheds light on how research is transforming architectural methods and processes, influencing buildings and landscapes through interdisciplinary approaches.

Three prominent studios

The first exhibition in the series showcases three prominent studios – ecoLogicStudio, Atelier LUMA, and Jenny Sabin Studio – working at the intersection of technology and nature. These studios use innovative methods to redefine sustainability in architecture by integrating artificial intelligence and biological processes. Visitors will gain insight into how photosynthesis can be incorporated into building designs to produce oxygen and nourishment and how local ecosystems can serve as the foundation for new building materials.

It´s only the beginning

With this exhibition series, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art continues its tradition of illuminating the architect's creative process, as previously seen in the acclaimed "Architectural Workshops" series.

The "Architecture Connecting" exhibition brings us closer to the future of architecture, where science and sustainability work hand in hand.
